Working with Bandhas in Asana + Pranayama
Yoga is the science of experience and a philosophy for living. When we integrate the three subtle energetic locks into our practice, we notice big changes in our ability to focus and draw the mind inward. Bandhas connect us to the movement of our Inner Energy and the expansion of this vital life force within ourselves. We will discuss the more esoteric aspects of the practice, and explore easily accessible ways to begin a practice of breath-control using bandhas.
Strengthening the Spine and Purifying the Nervous System
Nadi Shodhana means “purification of the energy channels.” This can be done through asana and pranayama. In this workshop students will explore the connection of prana (vital life energy) with the cleansing and strengthening of the nervous system through gentle asanas, kriyas, and pranayama. These practices will be highly beneficial and accessible to everyone, regardless of your level of experience.
Moving Beyond the Body
Using Spinal Energetics and Breathwork, this workshop will help students cultivate a deeper awareness within themselves, release unconscious blocks, and experience the tremendous energy within their own body that can transform held patterns to bring about both healing and awakening.
The Secrets of Yoga: The Marriage or Shiva-Shakti
An Philosophy class about the metaphorical language used in India to describe a very real awakening process within our mind-body. Learn about how the goddess power and union of opposites brings about the experience of Yoga. This class will include an deeper exploration of Pranayama and Meditation practices.
